Abstract

Tc93 (2.8 h), Tc94 (5 h), Tc95 (20 h), Mom93 (7 h), In109 (4.2 h), Inm110 (5 h), and In111 (2.8 day) radioactive nuclei implanted by recoil into iron foils have been oriented at low temperature in a He3-He4 dilution refrigerator. The following values have been established: |μ(Tcg93)|=[6.2({+11}{4})]μN, I(Tcg94)=7, |μ(Tcg94)|=[5.03(30)]μN, |μ(Inm110)|=[4.64(35)]μN, Iπ(Mo93, 1520 keV)=72+, δ(E2M1) in Mo93: δ(1363 keV; 7252)=0.48({8}{+6}), 0.7δ(1520 kev; 7252)1.9; in Mo94: δ(449 keV; 6+6+)=0.0({+2}{1}) or 0.7(2), δ(916 keV; 6+6+)=0.07({+7}{5}) or 0.8(1); in Mo95: δ(765 keV; 72+52+)=0.11(12); in Cd109: δ(205 keV; 72+52+)=0.13(4); in Cd110: δ(M2E1; 997 keV; 54+)=0.025({+35}{75}). Measured moments are compared with jn coupling predictions. Intermediate state reorientation due to randomly oriented quadrupole interaction has been observed for the 247 keV state of Cd111.

RADIOACTIVITY Tc93,94,95 from Nb(α, xn), Mom93 from Nb93(α, p3n), In109,111, Nbm110 from Ag(α, xn), implanted into iron; measured Iγ(B, T, θ) oriented nuclei; deduced magnetic moments, mixing ratios Jπ values; Ge(Li) detectors.
