Improved Experimental Test of Time-Reversal Symmetry in Ne19 β Decay

Abstract

We report on a new measurement of the time-reversal-violating triple angular correlation between the nuclear spin and the positron and neutrino directions DJ^·(vβ×q^ν). Our result for the decay process Ne19Fe19+e++ν is D=0.0005±0.0010, consistent with time-reversal symmetry.
