Fission penetrability is calculated for the ${}_{}{}^{234}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Th}$ nucleus by extending Cramer and Nix's method to a three-hump potential barrier where a second intermediate well is present. The computed results compare favorably with experimental results.
