Abstract
The () reaction, in which a meson deposits its total energy on a single nucleon, is examined for its effect on -nuclear scattering. At energies from 30 to 75 MeV the reaction cross section is enhanced by about 10%, and the angular distributions are essentially unchanged. At higher energies the effects are smaller.
