Abstract

We report the observed spectra of low-energy γ-rays emitted in the elastic scattering p + 12C at Ep = 1975 and 1985 keV. The phase difference between the two amplitudes of bremsstrahlung emitted before and after the formation of a nuclear intermediate state has been extracted. This phase difference has been interpreted in terms of the reaction time delay.
