The ${}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}-d-d$ vertex constant, extracted from direct and parametrization methods, is found to yield $C^2\approx 50$. A comparison of this with observed values from transfer reactions and $d-{}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$ elastic scattering suggests a normalization $P_{d-d}$ of 0.5.
