Abstract

Transverse polarization transfer coefficients Kyy have been measured at a reaction angle of 0° for the reactions 9Be(p, n)9B, 11C and 13C(p, n)13N. In the energy range covered by these measurements, i.e., from about 7 to 15 MeV, the Kyy(0) values are generally positive. The polarization transfer excitation functions all show considerable structure which we largely attribute to compound nucleus effects.
