Abstract

The γ decay of the 13.42-MeV state of N15, studied via the reaction C14(p,γ)N15 using Ge(Li) detectors, is found to be 100% to N15 (g.s.) with ΓpΓγ0Γ=1.70±0.5 eV, Γγ0=3.0±0.9 eV, and a M2E1 mixing ratio of 0.00 ± 0.04.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C14(p,γ), Ep=2.53.7 MeV, measured σ(E,θ), deduced branching ratios, J, Γγ, M2E1 mixing ratio of the 13.42-MeV state of N15; enriched target.
