We report the observation and mass measurement of ${}_{}{}^{43}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cl}$ and ${}_{}{}^{59}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Mn}$ by the (${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$, ${}_{}{}^8{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{B}$), five-nucleon pickup reaction. Mass excess values of -23.14 ± 0.06 for ${}_{}{}^{43}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cl}$ and -55.49 ± 0.03 MeV for ${}_{}{}^{59}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Mn}$ have been measured.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$, ${}_{}{}^{64}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ni}$(${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$, ${}_{}{}^8{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{B}$); $E=74\mathrm{}$ MeV; measured mass excess ${}_{}{}^{43}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Cl}$, ${}_{}{}^{59}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Mn}$.
