Nucleon Momentum Distribution in O16 Using the (γ,p) Reaction

Abstract

The momentum distribution of p12 shell nucleons in O16 is deduced from measurements of the angular distribution of the O16(γ,p0) reaction cross section between Eγ=40 and 105 MeV. The results are found to deviate from the Elton-Swift distribution.
