Abstract
A wave function which is an admixture of the () and () states is found to account for the diffraction minimum of the form factor of elastic electron scattering by . Brink's cluster model for has been investigated by means of a convenient expansion procedure. The model is found to be substantially different from the classical -particle model and to account satisfactorily for the high-energy electron scattering data. Further, the connection between Brink's model and the shell model has been established.
