Abstract

A triple-coincidence, five-parameter technique was employed to search for two-photon emission in the decay of the O16(6.05-MeV) state. Data were event-recorded and analyzed in parallel with events associated with decay of the O16(6.13-MeV) and the O16(7.12-MeV) states. Our measured branching ratio is NγγNπ=(2.5±1.1)×104.
