Enhanced excitation of the outgoing particle in the Al27(C12, B11)Si28 reaction

Abstract

The semiclassical description of heavy-ion induced transfer reactions is used to select a case in which ejectile excitation should be enhanced. The ground-state transition in the Al27(C12, B11)Si28 reaction is found to exhibit such an effect.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Al27(C12, B11), E(C12)=46.5 MeV, measured σ(E(B11), θ).
