Abstract

The (p, He6) reaction was used to observe and measure the masses of the proton-rich nuclei V45, Mn49, and Co53, thus completing all mirror pairs in the f72 shell. New measurements of the masses of Ti43, Cr47, Fe51, and Ni55 were made using the (He3, He6) reaction. Coulomb energy differences of the T=12 mirror pairs are extracted, and the new masses are used to predict the masses of proton-rich nuclei with 23Z28.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Al27, Cr50, Fe54, Ni58(p, He6), Ep=46 MeV, Al27, Ti46, Cr50, Fe54, Ni58(He3, He6), EHe3=70 MeV, measured Q, deduced mass excess of Ti43, V45, Cr47, Mn49, Fe51, Co53, Ni55, predicted masses of proton-rich nuclei with 21Z28.
