Real central optical potentials for light composite projectiles

Abstract

The volume integrals of the real central optical potentials for deuteron, 3He, and α-particle scattering on nuclei have been analyzed by the prescription of Watanabe. A large reduction, −31 ± 2 MeV, in the nuclear potential for α-particles has been found in the energy range 104–166 MeV.
