Energy-dependent anisotropy of beta-rays and second-class currents

Abstract

Sugimoto, Tanihata and Göring's experimental data on the energy dependence of the asymmetries of beta-rays emitted from polarized ¹²B and ¹²N nuclei are analyzed in an almost nuclear model independent way. The analysis suggests the existence of second-class currents. New limits on KDR's second-class current parameters ζ and λ are estimated.
