Abstract

Quasifree proton-proton and proton-deuteron scattering cross sections on He4 have been measured and compared with theoretical calculations in the distorted wave impulse approximation. Information on the low components for the proton and deuteron momentum distributions in He4 are deduced.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS He4(p, 2p) and He4(p, pd), E=156 MeV; measured σ(E1, E2, θ1, θ2); proton and deuteron momentum distributions in He4 deduced.
