Abstract
We measure the lifetimes of excited states in and in the core nucleus . Ratios of reduced transition probabilities in are consistent with those given by the rotational model. The of the state in is in agreement with the particle-plus-rotor value and inconsistent with the weak-coupling prediction. The values of the and states lie much higher than predicted by several models.
