Abstract

Some features of evaporation tracks following π capture in carbon are reported. These include angles between tracks, ranges by track pairs for two track events, and degree of collimation of tracks for three tract events, from which some conclusions are drawn. Kinematical analysis is used to find evidence for nuclear structure effects in the breakup of the residual nucleus.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C12; π capture evaporation particles, loaded emulsion detector; angular correlations, He4 levels seen.
