Abstract

The shape of the lowest C12+p resonance has been studied in a high-resolution C12(d, n)N13 measurement. The shape displays a pronounced asymmetry, in quantitative agreement with a corresponding observation in elastic proton scattering.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C12(d, n), Ed=6.3 MeV; measured σ(En). N13 deduced peak shape.
