Abstract

The F19(He3, d)Ne20 reaction has been studied at a bombarding energy of 18 MeV. Levels were identified up to an excitation energy of 13.3 MeV in Ne20. Several new spin-parity and isospin assignments are made. A comparison of the experimental spectroscopic strengths with those predicted by the Nilsson, SU(3), and shell models shows reasonably good agreement.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS F19(He3, d), E=18 MeV; measured σ(Ed, θ); Ne20 deduced levels, l, J, π, T.
