Abstract

Cross sections and polarizations have been measured for C14(p, p)C14 scattering over the energy range corresponding to the giant-dipole-resonance region of N15. The results indicate a Jπ=32+ resonance of about Γ=4 MeV near Ep=10 MeV. This resonance appears to be the giant dipole resonance observed in (p, γ) measurements.
