Branching ratio for radiative pion capture in 16O

Abstract

The distorted wave impulse approximation is used in conjunction with semi-phenomenological matrix elements obtained from weak and electro-magnetic processes to calculate the branching ratio for radiative pion capture from low lying atomic orbits in 16O to the bound states of 16N.
