Abstract

The (d,He3) reaction spectrum is calculated in a plane wave one-step direct reaction model. Target correlations due to a residual interaction are included. The discrete spectrum is dominated by the continuous spectra, at energies where both contribute. As a result the comparatively smooth experimental spectra can be understood in this reaction model.
