Analysis of the He4(p,2p)H3 reaction

Abstract

Calculations of the He4(p,2p)H3 reaction in the distorted-wave impulse approximation do not reproduce the experimental data. The recent agreement obtained using a less sophisticated reaction model would seem to arise from the use of total cross sections which are too large.
