Abstract

Using an on-line mass spectrometer the delayed neutron emission probability Pn and the half-lives of the new delayed neutron precursors 97Rb, 98Rb, 145Cs and 146Cs have been measured. The Pn values of the known 93–96Rb were remeasured and an upper limit was found for the β-delayed double-neutron emission probability of 98Rb. The experimental Pn values for 92–98Rb are discussed within a simple semi-empirical picture.
