Semiclassical approximation with complex trajectories

Abstract

The semiclassical description of elastic scattering is extended to include complex trajectories. Initial results are presented. A unified description of rainbow, diffraction, and interference phenomena is achieved, leading to a quantitative agreement with quantum mechanical calculations.
