Vector and tensor analyzing-power measurements for H3(d,d)H3 elastic scattering at 11.4 and 14.4 MeV

Abstract

Angular distribution of the vector and tensor analyzing powers Ay, Axz, 12(AxxAyy), and Azz have been measured at 11.4 and 14.4 MeV for d+H3 elastic scattering. Mass identification techniques were used in detecting the scattered deuteron and the recoil triton at most angles. Measurements were made for the 33 to 140° center-of-mass angular range. The angular distributions of the various analyzing powers are very similar at both energies and additionally are similar to the d+He3 analyzing-power data of König et al. at 11.5 MeV.
