Violation of isospin conservation in two-nucleon pickup reactions?

Abstract

The recently reported differences in the analog reactions O16(p,He3)N14 (2.31 MeV) and O16(p,t)O14 (g.s.) are correctly predicted by distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations, using standard parameters with no adjustments.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS O16(p,t) and O16(p,He3), E=27 MeV; calculated σ(θ), ratio.
