Abstract

A simple technique is decribed for extracting from two-body effective interaction matrix elements the separate contributions of the parts of the effective interaction of tensor rank zero, one and two in spin space. Some minor applications are presented to illustrate the method.

For this, 224 data of binding and excitation energies from 51 nuclei: 47−54Ca, 43−53Sc, 42−56Ti, 45−52V, and 45−53Cr are considered. The binding energies are taken relative to that of 40Ca core with coulomb energy correction evaluated using parameters used in Refs. [26,31]. The rms errors of interactions GX1B1 and GX1R are estimated as 396 KeV and 327 KeV, respectively.
