Pion Production by 185-MeV Protons

Abstract

We present distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations of the reaction C12(p, π+)C13 at Tp=185 MeV. It is found that the production cross section to specific states in C13 depends very sensitively on the pion-nucleus distorted-wave function.
