Abstract

The vector analysing power iT11 of the elastic scattering of 11.6 MeV polarized deuterons by 14N, 16O, 20Ne and 22Ne and the corresponding differential cross section for the latter two nuclei have been measured and analysed in terms of a standard optical potential. The optical model was found to provide a reasonable description of the experimental data. The volume integral of the real central potential was used to compare various parameters sets obtained.
