Abstract

Proton spin-flip in C12(p,p1)C12 (2+, 4.44 MeV) has been measured in the region of the 8.9-MeV ½ level in N13. The inelastic decay is predominately by f52 waves. The reduced width in the f52 channel is about equal to the single-particle limit.
