Abstract

The (p,2p) and the (p,d) reaction cross sections for a C12 target have been calculated using a three-body theory that avoids making the Born approximation. Real separable potentials were used to describe all interactions. The general shape and magnitude of the reaction cross section agree with the experimental data. Fine structure details of the experimental cross sections are not reproduced. Modifications to distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations are suggested.
