Comparison of impact and radioactivity techniques and the magnetic dipole moments of the first 2+ states in 188Os, 190Os, and 192Os

Abstract

Comparison of IMPACT, PAC and Mössbauer effect measurements indicate that for g-factor measurements of Os nuclei Ni is a suitable ferromagnetic host whereas the use of Fe in IMPACT measurements may give erroneous results.
