New 4He levels and the difference in angular distributions for the reactions D(d, n)3He and D(d, p)3H

Abstract

New T = 0 states of 4He with small nucleon widths are suggested on the basis of theoretical arguments. The difference in angular distributions for the d-d reactions is found to be due to Coulomb mixing of the new and earlier known odd-parity states.
