Abstract

Anomalies in excitation functions of this doubly isospin-forbidden reaction have been detected at energies near known isobaric analogue resonances. They are interpreted in terms of isospin-breaking mechanisms.

The emission of β+ (Emean = 0.66 MeV and Emax = 1.5 MeV) from 90Nb makes it especially promising for the immuno-PET and clinical applications [11,12]. Only limited excitation functions for the alpha-induced reactions on 89Y are available in the various energy ranges [13–19]. In the present work, we measured the excitation functions of 89g,mNb, 90Nb, 91mNb, 92mNb, 88Zr, 89Zr, 87g,mY, 88Y, 90mY, and 91mY in the 89Y(α,x) reactions by the stacked-foil activation and off-line γ-ray spectrometric technique in the energy range between their respective reaction threshold and 45 MeV at the MC-50 cyclotron of the Korean Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS), Korea.
