Abstract

By means of the pulsed-beam technique a new isotope 217Ac has been found to decay with Eα = 9.65 ± 0.02 MeV and τ12 = 0.10 ± 0.01 μs. The half-life of 216Ra has been determined to be 0.18 ± 0.03 μs.
