Abstract

The nuclear reaction 11B(p, 3α) has been studied at Ep = 163 keV under kinematical conditions necessary for the observation of interference effects. Experimental information about these effects has been found for a few pairs of angles in a coplanar geometry. The change of the two-particle resonance width of the 8Be first excited state has been successfully explained.
