Abstract

Differential cross sections for α particles to the ground and first excited states of Li7 in the reaction B10(n,α)Li7 have been calculated from R-matrix parameters that fit neutron elastic scattering, neutron polarization, and B10(n,α)Li7 reaction data. It is pointed out that a measurement of these α-particle angular distributions could resolve some of the ambiguities that remain in the interpretation of the B10(n,α)Li7 reaction for neutron energies below 1 MeV.
