Abstract

The properties of the Jπ = 7+2 and 11+2, T = 12 states of mass 19 are discussed in terms of Coriolis coupling between rotational bands based on the single-particle Nilsson configurations of the N = 2 oscillator shell. Single-nucleon transfer spectroscopic factors are predicted for transitions leading to the positive-parity, T = 12 states of mass 19 and are compared with experimental results. It is found that the main feature of these states can be understood using s-d shell configurations.
