Abstract

The angular distributions of neutrons emitted in the forward direction when 1.69 GeV/c deuterons interact with various complex nuclei were measured. It is shown that these distributions are well fitted by compounding the incident nucleon momentum with its internal momentum in the deuteron assuming a Hulthén-type wave function. The observed distributions agree well with previously obtained proton distributions.
