Abstract

A model-independent (low-energy) analysis of the elastic electron scattering by light nuclei is presented with the purpose of establishing the importance of the non-static contributions in the experimental determination of rms radii. These dispersive corrections are given in terms of dipole-photoabsorption cross sections. Accurate numerical results are presented for deuterium and helium.
