A microscopic calculation of the imaginary potential in heavy-nucleus scattering

Abstract

The imaginary part of the optical potential for the scattering of one heavy nucleus by another is computed from two-nucleon phase shifts using an extended version of Harada-Oda's theory and is a) volume-like, b) L-dependent and c) energy dependent.
