Mechanism for extending the 20Ne rotational band

Abstract

A mechanism for forming a 10+ member of the 20Ne rotational band is proposed. It is shown that the (1d52−2s12)3−1g92 configuration leads to a 10+ state in the proper energy region with a large E2 radiative width.
