Abstract

Light odd-mass isotopes of xenon (A = 115, 117) and mercury (A = 179, 181, 183) exhibit beta-delayed proton emission. No appreciable fine structure is observed in the proton spectra, which have been measured on isotope-separated samples in on-line experiments at the CERN ISOLDE facility. The proton branches observed vary in intensity from 3.4 × 10−3 (115Xe) to 2.7 × 10−6 (183Hg).
