Abstract

Distorted-wave calculations have been performed for the reaction O18(d,p)O19 to the 52+ ground state and the ½+ state at 1.467 MeV in O19, as well as for the reaction O18(He3,d)F19 leading to the analogs of these states — the (bound) 52+ state at 7.540 MeV and the (unbound) ½+ state at 8.795 MeV in F19. The resulting spectroscopic factors are in good agreement with each other, although previous work had suggested a discrepancy. However, the spectroscopic factors are only about half as large as the shell-model predictions.
