Abstract

The importance of semidirect contributions to the 20Ne (d, 3He) 19∗F (2.78) reaction is studied by using the coupled-channels formalism for inelastic scattering reactions in both the incoming and outgoing channels. The magnitude and shape of the differential cross section of the reaction to the 92+ level in 19F can be well explained by the addition of inelastic effects in both reaction channels.
