Abstract

A study of the relative cross sections of the analogue reactions 7Li(d,tt)6Li and 7Li(d, τ)6He shows that the two lowest T = 1 levels in 6Li have high isospin purity (α2 < 0.008). Additional confirmation of high degree of isospin purity comes from an examination of the wave functions involved.
