Abstract

The (He3,p) reaction has been studied on all even-even targets from O16 to Si28. In all cases the 0+0+ transitions exhibit a characteristic difference from the 0+1+ transitions. This absence of pure L=0, 0+1+ transitions can presumably be understood in terms of configuration mixing.
